Intalere, the healthcare industry leader in delivering optimal cost, quality and clinical outcomes, today announced the launch of Intalere OptiMIM AdvantageSM at HIMSS 2018. The platform ensures data integrity for hospital systems by providing access to trusted, verified and enriched data from across the industry in a single platform, improving organizational efficiency while reducing risk.
“By leveraging industry standard data sources, Intalere OptiMIM Advantage combines data to a single trusted source that will improve operational efficiencies and reduce financial, safety, regulatory and product risk,” said Jim Wilson, Intalere Chief Strategy Officer. “OptiMIM Advantage also enables the supply chain to more efficiently leverage data to perform analytics of supply items to reduce supply costs, increase procure-to-pay (P2P) efficiencies, and improve integration and accuracy on point-of-use capture.”
OptiMIM Advantage consolidates data from suppliers and other sources such as GUDID, GDSN and FDB (First Databank) and houses the cleansed and validated data on a single platform. OptiMIM Advantage enables hospitals to have a trusted data source which improves operational efficiencies while reducing financial, safety, regulatory and product risk to the organization, as well as improving patient safety.
A differentiating feature of the tool is a partnership with FDB the leading provider of drug and medical device knowledge that helps healthcare professionals make precise decisions. Medical device knowledge in the FDB Prizm platform covers products that are implanted in patients such as hip replacements, pacemakers, and stents; surgical instruments and medical supplies such as catheters, forceps, gloves, gauze and syringes; hospital and durable medical equipment such as imaging systems, patient monitors, wheelchairs, and diabetic supplies. FDB Prizm medical device knowledge is made available to users through web service APIs to ensure fast and up-to-date access to the information. This also significantly reduces the device library maintenance burden for customers as well as assures users have the latest information without disruption to their workflow. Ultimately, with valuable medical device knowledge, which includes the unique device identifier or UDI, healthcare organizations can reduce costs and enhance supply chain operations and clinical quality.
“We are proud to be working with Intalere to improve operational efficiencies in hospital supply chain management via FDB Prizm,” said Charles Tuchinda, MD, MBA, president, FDB. “FDB recognizes Intalere’s reputation for excellence in bringing transformational change to their customer’s operations. We are extremely encouraged that they have placed their trust in FDB to deliver medical device knowledge as the content backbone of their new solution.”
Intalere OptiMIM Advantage will debut at the HIMSS 2018 Conference in booth #2832, at the Venetian-Palazzo Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas. Nev., Mar. 5-9, 2018.
